Thinking about kids · expecting · baby’s first 18 months
You’re finding your way.
You can have support.
Planning for a baby or getting to know the one you’ve just welcomed can bring up so much. You don’t need to have all the answers. We can make space to talk about the kind of parent you hope to be and the support you need along the way.
Before a baby arrives, there’s often plenty of planning around feeding, childcare and where to live. This is time to think about your relationship with your child, too.

The conversations that matter
What do you want to come back to when things get hard?
- How do you want your child to feel at home?
- What from your own childhood do you want to keep? What do you want to do differently?
- What do boundaries mean to you?
- If you are parenting with someone, what happens when you disagree?
- Years from now, what do you hope your child will say it felt like to grow up with you?
Finding your way
Find your parenting North Star.
Your North Star is the relationship you hope to build with your child. We’ll use it to think through everyday choices and expectations. If you’re parenting with someone, we’ll explore where your ideas differ and find a way forward together. If you’re parenting on your own, we’ll talk about the support you want around you.
Once your baby is here
You’ll learn more as you go.
As you get to know your baby, some of your plans may change. We can talk about how to parent in a way that feels right to you while managing the demands of everyday life.
You’re welcome to begin this work anytime in your baby’s first 18 months.
